Looks like you've been making up for lost time due to the cold spring weather: tools, machines, tool boxes, home repairs, 2 car shows( Great pics. Thanks!), and a couple of concerts! Then there's the COE, nice score on that. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

So then Saturday was a tough one. Had to dig out the ’52 Chevy out of the woods. The soul sucking wall of underbrush. After a few hours of hacking, we have the path to enlightenment. Back dad’s tractor up, and after a bunch of stiff yanks, the tractor’s front end starts to dance like a marionette and the car is bouncing off of trees and rocks, and I come busting out of the woods. Then we went to the other side of the yard and drug out the rear frame of and early twenties vehicle, 2 engines, one long block, one bare block, 2 sets of heads, a t-case, a complete t-case, and a bunch of miscellaneous parts. It only took 3 Tylenol to be able to sleep.

Ya wearing me out with all the work and car shows. Worse yet is the swelling in my neck for having to turn sideways just to see your pics. :headscrat
I learned many years ago that old cars in the woods should remain in the woods. went to pull an old VW van out of the woods and was swiftly and very painfully attacked by a swarm of yellow jackets. Biggest nest I've ever seen. Had been all in the van and all around and peeking under front and back and never seen a sign of the evil things till I made the first jerk with the 4-wheeler.

Hey was that chevy an old moonshiners car? Lots of empty bottles lying around. The Concours looks like it was fun. One day I will have to spend the Sunday seeing the whole thing. I went Saturday morning for the Cars and Coffee event and a seminar put on by Hagerty featuring Wayne Carini. And yes, he is as short as he looks on TV but a super nice guy.
If all your sideways pictures are coming from your phone then maybe the solution will be to just use a pocket digital camera and see if that fixes the orientation issue. I stopped using my clunky digital SLR a while back and brought a cheap pocket size digital camera and love it.

Kirk, I agree with Bob on the camera. I bought a factory refurbished Canon SX410 IS for $150 (free shipping) and it takes pretty good pictures (https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/...n/catalog/powershot-sx420-is-red-refurbished#). I like refurbished stuff from the manufacturers because I think it's less likely to have a defect when it's been gone over a second time. I have purchased used cameras but they always seem to have a hidden problem that doesn't show up right away.

Kirk the old '52 should buff right up. :lol_hitti

Good to see you have been busy.

I was waiting for someone to say that. My boy told me to put 15" 100 spoke rims and hydros on it, and we'll be ready to cruise.

Bobs, I've given up on the work phone, even though it takes better pics. I'm going to try my personal phone next.

WOW !! Of all the things you have accomplished lately I'll say that getting your pic right side up is the most impressive.:bounce:

What are you going to do with the 52? haul it in for scrap? If that is the case, I would look for anything of value attached to that car before hauling it in. Right off the top of my head, that visor probably worth some money. 37-54 chevy and the accessories that you could purchase for them are very popular in certain lowrider circles.

The Droid doesn't take as good a picture, but at least they come out right side up.

Yep there's not much salvageable on the '52 2dr. I'm going to grab the visor and see if it fits the COE, and I think the neighbor's might grab the instrumentation.

The quality of that picture looks fine to me. You really don't need anything better for web posting anyway. Glad you got that figured out.

Got another project moving last night. I had to have Robin and the twins help me move the surface plate from the bench to its stand. I still want to add some bracing to the legs, but the help was there, so I take advantage of it. Another thing I want to make is a base for this and use it as a height gauge.

So this past week, Robin took the twins up north camping (the tent, sleeping bags and the whole nine yards). Friday, I met up with them at a condo we rented for the weekend, along with Jennifer, and her BF, Tyler. Saturday we did some of the Ignace/Mackinac tourist traps. Mackinac lighthouse, Castle Rock, Mystery Point, Mama Mia’s Pizza/bridge museum, and the shop square in Mackinac. Here we are at Castle Rock.

Finally got around to fixing the middle daughter’s turn signal last night. She hit something back during the winter and I replaced the headlight assembly, but it mangled pigtail. Anyway, not the easiest position to get to, but it’s done. And I spent a little time on cleaning the bench. Next.

Xtremek looks like you've been busy!

I have 12 nights of tent living in this summer and
1 night of sleeping on a WWII sub which was the best!

glad your pics are now posting up the correct way!

good luck with the property clean up that can be quite the chore for sure!

Sub, you can keep the tent thing, I'm too old for that noise. My hat's off to you on that, but I'd love to try the submarine thing, it sounds cool.

It was a busy night last night. Our youngest, the twins, presented the township with their community project, a toy box they built, stocked with some books and toys. After that I wandered out to the barn and finished the surface plate stand. In true cheap skate fashion, 75% of this was made from re-purposed steel. Good enough for what it is and who it’s for, I guess.

Hey, re-cycled steel in the only kind I own! Good job on the stand and making it sturdy for your use.

Congratulations to your children for being great citizens, for helping their community and for presenting in front township officials. Such great life experiences for them.

Thanks Bob. The bottom of the stand was made out of a bed frame that had part of it buried in the ground and a corner display I cut up. Our girls aren't perfect, but they do have big hearts.

It’s been busy around here, but nothing much to see. Mow lawns, pulling weeds, oil changes, scrapping the barn for painting, trying to keep the barn clean, while working on the core support for my daughter’s truck. I’m getting better on the last front, but I still have a ways to go as far as getting the profiles right.
