Please explain to me what all that kinda greyish stuff is that I see all over in that picture?
Someone once told me it's called "con cret flor", but I didn't quite catch the meaning.

Dude, I so know what you mean. This stuff is amazing. You should totally get some. This is the first building I've ever had that has had this. It's usually been a dirt driveway with an 8'x8' shed for my tools. So I'm stoked that my wife has 2 buildings, not just one with this stuff. OMG

There are 3 big car shows in the next two weekends and they’re all supposed to have swap meets. I need a TON of parts and I don’t have much cash. I finally decided that now is the time to try to see if I can make a go of selling some of the creations the voices in my head tell me to. So for the princely sum of $16 dollars, I have business cards. I need to get the domain name reserved. Any suggestions on the best way to do that? So I need product to sell, so my daughter’s core support goes on the back burner for the weekend while I punch out another custom kids wagon.

xtremek your business cards look great.

If you can make some extra cash on the side line doing what you enjoy doing that's the way to go.

I have no idea on how to get a domain name going:headscrat

Great idea to be able to make and sell your own creations. I'd love to do that someday but always seem to lack those good ideas of what to make. You can register a domain name through any number of services like Go Daddy. Try a Google search for web domain hosts or see the following article for some ratings on various service providers.

Where are those car shows and swap meets coming up in the next couple weeks?

Kzoo for the NSRA Nats is this weekend, taking the day off Friday for that. Frankenmuth is this weekend as well. Going Saturday. AD Nats (47-55 Chevy trucks) is the next weekend in a southern sub of Indy. Going next Saturday. Will I see you atone of them?

I used Weebly. Setting up a simple webpage with them was a snap. They just got absorbed by another company so they might go downhill, but GoDaddy was more money and worse reviews.

Frankenmuth is a possibility on Saturday as I'll likely be up NE of Flint to pick up some auction items I'm bidding on. I'll know better by end of the week. The NSRA Nats would be fun but Kazoo is not in the cards for me this weekend. Just drove past there last weekend so too bad I'm a week off.

FYI, I went with GoDaddy, for better or worse. I still have to set up the website. The Domain registration was only $3.

Bob,
When it gets closer, if you decide to go, let me know. I'd love to meet you and see your car.

Well unfortunately the Frankenmuth car show is not going to happen for me. I got all excited about going until reality set in and I added up all the chores at home I’m behind on. I’ve been gone on vacation for 3 weeks and need to get some things done between Saturday and Sunday. I’ve heard about this show and will have to put it on my calendar for next year. Hope you enjoy it.

I totally understand. I made these plans months ago. I have cash burning a hole in my pocket, and I'm going to try to sell a wagon or two.

Ok, I'm not going to post all 40 of the pic of the NSRA Nats, or all 42 of the Frankenmuth Autofest, I'm just cutting and pasting my verbage from my FB page. If you want to see all of the pics, let me know and I'll link my FB page.

And now the Frankemuth Autofest. There were a lot more muscle cars at Frankenmuth, and I missed about half of them because I promised my better half the afternoon was hers.

And for those of you following along the fun that is our life, here are some pics of the next wagon I’m building. There were some bites at the NSRA Nats on the gasser, but nothing much happening at Frankemuth ☹. Maybe the AD Nationals next Saturday will bring better results. I’m to the tough part, building the front axle. Anyway, I’m still trying to get the website up.

Thanks guys for dropping in. I appreciate your attaboys. And GB, I think any hot rodded Cabover looks cool, and I've seen some you would never think of that way.

Nice pics from the weekend. I can see that I missed out on two great events. I like your taste in Willys. Always one of my favorite cars.
Very cool what you're doing with the wagon builds. Definitely take more pictures of the build process and share here.

I think I'll try hit the NSRA Nats again soon, on a Saturday. Your ride would have fit in nicely there. I hope I can bend the front axle tonight.

Having the right tools sure makes life easier. My dad found a hand truck that didn’t have an axle or wheels. He brought one wheel and I was able to find one with a matching OD, but a smaller ID. Darn, I guess I’ll have to turn the one end of the axle down in order to make it work.

I’m long overdue on putting these pictures up. These are from the AD Nationals and Vintage Wheels Swap meet car show two weekends ago.

xtremek thank you for sharing your nats pics. Top cars..

The best part was that every one of them was a real driver, most were daily drivers. You should see what happened to the pink cargo a couple of years back. Took the WHOLE front end out. He did a nice job of putting it back together. As always, it's an honor to have you drop by.

Nice work with the lathe turning what might be seen as junk back into yet another useful tool. Now you can make life easier by moving some heavy items around with your hand truck.
Cool show pictures too. I love those old trucks.

The hand truck is actually for my dad, but you're right. Taking junk and making it useful again makes me feel like I'm doing something good for the planet, while having fun.

Here’s are next pieces of my puzzle. They came out of this truck, which I’m trying to find a way to drag home so I can pull the electrical out of it. When I’m done pulling the stuff I want out, it goes back to Austin Diesel Performance. I want to thank them for everything they’ve done so far and I’m looking forward doing MUCH more with them (since I don’t know much about diesels, so I hope to be working with them closely in the near future). And just so everyone is on the same page, my plan is to put the Cummins in the modified ’82 chassis, put the modified/customized ’52 cab on that, and build a new dump box.

Back to the wagon build. I’ve been having trouble transferring pictures from my phone to my laptop, so this is long. Since it sits so low, I’m making a drop axle. I’ve never bent tubing before. So I made a jig. And darn if having the lathe didn’t make my life easier. I so hate doing things the easy way. Anyway, jig built, axle bent, and wouldn’t you know, I had to use the mill to notch the axle. At the AD Nats, I saw a guy who used his cooler as an “engine”, and I told him I was stealing his idea. I hope to finish the axle tonight.

The pipe can be bent like this device. Made from old bearings and can be bent at any angle.

Vieux, is that solid or hollow tube? I don’t like the inconsistencies in my bends, so now plan my is to make a jig similar to what I have, just for the entire axle.

½, thanks. I’m very flattered, especially from you.

I finally finished the axle itself last night. Among the tons of tooling I got with the mill was a ½” ream. It made putting the bushings in really nice. I’m trying to do a better job of making things with tighter tolerances. Turning this piece in the 4 jaw chuck, I got the runout dialed in to .002” in 3 tries, and missed my length over by .004”. I hope to have the wagon useable by the end of the night tonight. I still need to fab the steering knuckles and steering linkage, and then get the tub bolted to the frame.
