OH HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ducks are bad enough. Growing up, the Old Man raised feeder pigs to supplement our income. Plus a bunch of chickens, and always 2 steers for beef. I miss the good eats, but not the constant work.

It was a decent bit of work. I use whatever is cheapest, though these were DeWalt and seemed to last a decent amount

New computer was slow in getting to me, so my update is late. Long story short, you can feel free to call me Mike McGuire now. I wondered why my files weren’t there?

Anyway, I did get a couple of things done last weekend. Finally tried the new TIG welder out. My weld was kind of like me, little on the ugly side, but it’ll hold up to just about anything. Another item was plumbing air to the blasting cabinet.

But the kicker was the old kerosene torpedo finally died. After years of nursing it along, rotted fuel lines, couldn't hold mixture setting, leaking tank, the motor finally gave up the ghost.:mad: The new one has digital readout, temp setting, and a fuel gauge, but I drew the line with magic fingers. I’m sure going to miss the carbon monoxide poisoning.:sad:

There were times when the mixture would go out of wack, I'd come out to the shop and I wouldn't be able to see the far wall from all of the smoke.

The new one is 140k, and the old one was 100k. I use it to bring the shop up to temp and the new one brings it in half the time. Took about an hour to bring the shop from 44* F to 72* F.

or its you'll be warm faster and get less done cause your not cold trying to get it done so you can go back in the house where its warm?

It all depends on the night. Tonight, it's enjoying my wife's company and watching "Endeavour". Tomorrow I should break a couple of milestones........................I hope. Updates on Sunday night or Monday.

Do you have any issues with condensation? We used to use them in a big tent, it would rain on us after a while. Glad it heats things up so quickly and without all the smoke, that is just a bonus. ;)

Nothing to that extent. I do get some condensation on my tools, but that's about it.

I finally got all the pieces together for the box to frame latch system and had to see if my concept held any merit. I’m not completely out to lunch, but it wasn’t a total success either. I learned that my box sits WAY too high. As you can see, the trailer sits pretty high in the front, and the hitch is all the way up. I replaced the main box frame rails with what was there, 3”x8”. I should have gone with 3”x4”. Even with the shorter rails, it probably would still be too high.

When my snowmobile trailer looked like that with my Ramcharger, I just took the 33's off it that it came with and replaced them with 30's. :)
