I usually have a radio going when I am working on things.

or in the fall its either Badger or Packer Football game.

Sunday's are fun the local station does a Classic Country afternoon so its all old time songs and I could not listen to that stuff full time but its fun for afternoon 1 time a week.

Spotify costs money, so nope.

I usually get action flicks, since they rarely have any plot. Watch it once and you're good with missing most of it. Like I said, the Fast and Furious franchise, almost any recent Tom Cruise movie, especially a Mission Impossible.

That was my initial thoughts on it too. But if you get the family package and split the cost it's actually not that bad. And downloading songs on it is very fast.

as long as the AC works good the camping is alway's fun!

enjoy and be sure to post up all the camping adventures!

Definitely. But this is my first travel trailer, so we're going to take it slow.

..........And downloading songs on it is very fast.

We don't have real internet here, so nothing is fast. We have cell/satellite based internet. Sometimes, we only have a 3G connection. Already signed up for Elon Musk's internet, but it won't get here until the fall.

We had a camper that needed a little work. We used it a couple of times, then someone came along and wanted it more than I did, so I let it go. They took it about 6 miles away, and put it in a yard, and never used it. I think it went to a scrap yard somewhere. It was still pretty nice when I sold it to them.

Wife is booking camp sites for the summer already. Couple of trips to the local park to use as practice runs. A trip to Colorado is in the works. And one to Pennsylvania, maybe. If we get 4-5 trips a year, it'll be worth it.

Kirk,
Sounds like a fun summer coming up.
What will you be pulling the camper with?

I hope he isn't taking the girlfriend and the wife.......

ill just leave this here for ya xtremek

that sounds like quite the camping trips planned.

Enjoy and may all the travels be smooth sailing!

Actually, the Girlfriend is for the wife. I don't think we'll get to the 4-5 this year, but the fact that Robin and I can do our jobs remotely, why stay home?

Surely your not going to take your jobs on the road and do work while camping?? That defeats the whole purpose of camping lol.

Robin can probably do all of her work while I'm driving. She's been doing her job for over 20 years, so she can do 8 hours of work in 2 1/2 to 3 hours. The girls don't usually get up and moving before noon. On days when we've really pushed, we've gotten them out of the house by 10:30, but that was a real struggle. So I might just start taking half days.

Checked the last several "pages". Looks like camper is going to be fun! I've thought about modifying the car hauler to be useful for "camping". The Wife says that would be fine, but she would be sleeping in the hotel while I slept in the trailer. Roughing it, even in a camper, is not her speed.

PS It's a lot easier for me to "back" a large trailer with the trailer hooked to a ball in the front of Ole Paint. Is that what you're doing with Ole Mule?!

The trailer is as nice as many of the hotel rooms we've stayed in, and can sleep about 9-10 with the slide out in position, so I'm good with this.

The Ole Mule was pulling double duty that day. Since I only plowed out enough driveway for cars and delivery trucks, I got stuck a couple of times in the deep snow (about 8"-10"). So the Old Mule pulled the Girlfriend back up onto the driveway so I could then use her to plow the yard.

We went Friday night to pick up Robin's first piece of dedicated equipment for her hemp business. Glad I designed the trailer sides to be removable.

Since we had the neighbor's tractor to unload the sickle mower, I thought it would be a good time to channel my inner Uncle Willie

Looks like you were busy this weekend.
Will you have to do any refurbishment on the sickle mower?

One wheel bearing needs some attention. Other than that, it ran fine. Going to have to get a tow bar for the Old Mule. At least this one isn't a belly mount.

Farm I worked at had a long cutter bar like that. We had problems with the mower pulling straight and cutting good without the slip clutch going off. Solution was dual wheel on off side with 500# of weight attached to the frame.

I'll have to remember that. I think we'll have to end up with a solution like that.

Was that a cleanup from your yard or the neighbors? That sickle bar will be a good defensive tool for when the zombies attack as well. ;)

That's a big sickle mower. Most of the ones I've seen are a 3 point hitch and maybe 5'.

It is huge. We (the mouse in my pocket and I) may end up cutting it down. It was the first one we found that wasn't a belly mower. Been there, seen that, done it, wasn't going back. Hooking up a belly mower just plain *****.

That's a load of scrape from the last 2 years. I usually go every year, but Covid kind of kept me home last year. As long as I keep them off the hood ot the Old Mule, I can go right through them, or any door to door callers.

That's an amateur load. You can do better.

Here is the original WarWagon from about 22 years ago. Might be why my back is wrecked. I had many chains on that load before I rolled out.

The only way to be a professional scrapper is to have the lightest duty truck with the heaviest load, everyone knows that! ;)

I resemble that remark.

On that particular load the guy had more than he said he had, was in the middle of nowhere, and I wasn't making 2 trips.

We once had a Dodge Maxivan that was rated at 3/4 ton. When we pulled all the old steam pipe out of the building, we kept loading waiting for it to squat. We finally stopped when the tires started looking a little squished. That went over the scales at 3600 lbs, oops!
Turns out they had two types of 3/4 tons. The regular 3/4 with 5 leaf springs and ours, a 3/4 Long ton with 7 leafs. Still just 5 bolt wheels though.

So are you saying you do or don’t want to be a professional scrapper, I am confused? ;)

Just so I'm clear, it's not just "No", not "Hell No!", but "OH HELL NO!!!! No way on God's green Earth do I want to be a scrapper."

If it's not overworked, it's underutilized. There's a reason everything I own sounds like a bowl of Rice Crispies when I use it, including my body.
