Robin laughed when I read her these. But you're right, it is an issue. I don't think we'll have much of a problem. Both are very small plots. One is right next to the neighbor's house, and ours can't be seen unless your flying. But I pity any fool who does, they'd have to burn both fields to get a small buzz. Max THC level for hemp in the US is 0.3%, while marijuana is about 16-18%.

Last weekend SWMBO bought the next piece of hemp growing equipment, a grain drill. The guy we bought it off of let us borrow his trailer to bring it home. Never seen anything like it before, but it is slicker than snot on a doorknob. The back end of the deck is on rollers that ride between a piece of angle that's attached to the axles on both sides. Undo the latching chains, lock the wheels, and pull forward until the deck is on the ground. Simple and sweet.

I started digging out the driveway expansion. About 7:30 Friday night, the Old Mule told me to quit when she spit the pivot ball out of one of the trailing links for the 3pt hitch. The new arm from TSC was 1.5mm/0.060” too thick. Time to fire up the mill. I still need to work on feed /spindle speeds for steel. Burned up the tips on my ¾” roughing bit. ☹

Is that Massey Ferguson plate on the trailer? If so it's likely an old equipment trailer specially designed for moving combines and swathers. I've never seen one that old though.

Most of the industrial hemp (different than CBD hemp) comes out of Europe. Or Canada. Is stuff is amazing. Depending on the quality, its tensile strength is about the same as Kevlar and Carbon Fiber.

The Old Mule (8n) and a drag bucket. It's slow, but it's what I got. To put things in perspective though, this is the very same equipment my late FiL dug out the basement of the house my wife grew up in.

Yeah, it's an old MF ag equipment trailer. Thought it might be for moving OLD combine heads between fields, so I think we're on the same page.

Anything with old tractors is fun. There is something I find very soothing about grading an old driveway, I do my neighbors drive a couple times a year just because I like to.
I had a MF TO35 for a long time, it was very similar to your 8N, Ferguson designed the three point hitch that both tractors shared.

I'll be honest, I love it when the old girl digs in hard and the front end starts to dance and she pulls "it" loose. It gives me a sense of comradery and pride. Two old fossils working hard.

Speaking of working hard, the Old Mule earned her keep and then some. We spent about 3 1/2 hours carving out the shape of the expansion, before my left knee said 'NO MORE".

After lunch, the old girl and I headed down to the area where we're going to plant the crop. She pulled some heavy loads down the drive. The pile was about 5' tall when I started the day, now it's about 10', maybe a little more. I got about 1/2 of the trees hauled down to the brush pile.

Do you eventually burn the pile or let it compost? Wish I had a dollar for every pile we burned.

Just let it rot, easier that way. That pile has been that big before. But we're not done yet, so this will definitely be the biggest it'll have ever been.

That's one draw back to older equipment. Hydro transmissions are a lot nicer for loader work and much easier on your knee.

Funny you should say that, it's exactly what I told my wife yesterday afternoon. The front end saw so much air time yesterday, I thought the Old Mule might get a complex and start thinking it was a plane. This winter I think it's finally time to give the old girl a set of brakes and rear end seals.

Been a busy few days. I brought a garden tractor home from my parents place last weekend. The price was right, but it has an issue, no movement. Pulled the trans out and found the pulley was stripped, and it stripped the input shaft, a known issue. parts have been ordered. Since it looks like it'll workout, I went ahead and pulled the deck, since it'll only be in the way.

I started working out. Nothing but the highest priced equipment. And nothing like moving a few logs around to add to the workout.

According to this fancy tracker watch thing on my wrist, it must have been a good one. It says I got in 1 1/2 hours of cardio workout and walked 23,000 steps. My body says that I did a lot more than that.

Most weekdays I hit around 10k, since the shop is about 60'-70' from the house and things seem to move through me often. Weekends are almost always well over 20k.

Even though I'm an Ectomorph, I grew a bit of a basketball over the winter that really flared up my acid reflux. It was a nightly misery for weeks.
I've managed to get rid of 5 lbs of it this Spring, which has helped. Another 4-5 lbs and I'll be back to my normal Summer (over)weight.
I don't walk a lot of steps in a day, but there are plenty of stairs. I always say a staircase keeps you alive.

I could not gain weight when I was younger. I graduated highschool at 6'4" and 145 pounds. I don't have that problem any more.
