I missed the Tree of Shame. I knew of it, but to be honest, I was so stoked from the drive, I forgot all about it. I makes me wish I had a bike, but at the same time, glad I don't. And the drive along the River is gorgeous. Spent about 15 minutes driving along it.

Just so you don’t think I have no class, here are pics of our trip to the Van Gogh Experience. In case you thought it was a fluke, Robin and I went to the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. Almost 50 acres of beauty set in downtown Knoxville. I wish I had a few million to give to them, the place has so much potential.

I feel like this is a Jeff Foxworthy moment. “You might be a redneck if”……..you’re on vacation at a nice condo, and you’re out in the parking lot fixing your

Just so you know I wasn’t pulling your leg, here are the pics. On the way down, this Harley and I were really closely matched. I let them pass, and ended up chasing them down to, and along the Tennessee River. On the trip back, this slow poke Civic took several miles to get the hint I wanted to move a lot quicker than he was willing move. The Tail 1.jpg

LOL at your group pic. You can certainly tell who is excited to be there and who isn't.

I posted the same pics on FB and a family friend said, "the girls look fully engaged as usual". To be fair, it was a long, steep hike from the car to the trail head, then another 1 1/2 miles to the falls, so close to 2 miles to get there.

Beautiful place

It was very much so. The little falls was the best part in my opinion, and no one went to look at it.

Back in the day (my 40's), I wouldn't have even broken a sweat. Now the joints tell me I'm pushing it. Of the 6 of us, only two of us don't work out on a regular basis. She was hurting pretty bad. It didn't help the one sister was being impatient and rude.

Looks like brand new, Kirk!

Thanks Jon, but I can only wish. If I had the time and money (the money I spent buying a certain pick up ;) LOL) ,I'd have had someone put in hardened seats. And I'm guessing the guides are fairly well worn. I just hope it gets me through a few years before we put an LS or Cummins in it.

We tag teamed this repair. Robin ground all of the rivets off, then I punched them out. Replaced the rivets with nuts and bolts. Then we went down to the neighbor's place and cut some of the hemp. We're having issues figuring out how to get this down efficiently. We got almost 1/3 of it done before I said I'd had enough of my Strouty/Uncle Willie/Bob Heine soaked in sweat imitation. Woke up this morning and everything was sore, including my scalp.blade replacment.jpg

In Indiana for a hemp thing. Got here yesterday and did a little sightseeing. Had to go to IMS. This is the buggy that took me down the rabbit hole that eventually lead to my love of F1 and MotoGP. I was surprised it sports a stock bug motor.

And this has become one of our things, municipal gardens/conservatories. The Garfield Conservatory/garden was fairly small, but it was very pretty. More than I would want to weed.

Don't tempt me. I had a pan buggy (Fiberglass bodied thing) back in the day. If I do it again, it'd be another pan buggy. They are fun.

Nice pictures.
Speaking of buggys, Berrien Buggy back in the day turned out alot of parts, turnkey vehicles, etc.
They were right down the road from me on Old US31.

I got rear ended in front of IMS. I was in a company van that I had picked up exactly 24 hours earlier.

Don't sweat too much....

All this hemp reminds me, we do a lot for our SOs.

Ain't that the truth.

I have always wanted a manx style buggy but there rare around here.
You still in Indiana

You can still buy that style brand new, the parts or turnkey. Place out in Cali makes them. They're not cheap

They were going great guns until the US military got involved, if I remember right.

That wasn't the big accident was it?

No it was minor. Traffic was completely stopped, and I stuck the van in park, and took my foot off the brake. The guy behind me thought I was moving and floored it. HE only moved about 2 feet before he hit me. It bent the bumper of the van up where the back door wouldn't open. My boss told me to do whatever I had to in order to make the van usable since I would have had to go several hundred miles to get another one. I got home and beat it with a sledge hammer. It was like that till I quit and turned the van back in.
