Were, just slower paced down here, give us a month, we'll catch up by Christmas.
Finally finished clearing the build site and parking lot of topsoil. My guesstimate is about 350-400 yards. Then spent 2 days filling it back in with 360yds of fill sand. As fast as the truck (a 20yd dump)dropped it off, I’d spread it. Those were 2 very long days. The build site is close to being done. So between that and the crushed concrete the Girlfriend brought in in the early fall, that was 400yds. We still need another 80yds to get us ready for winter, and probably another 160yds to finally be done with the driveway……………for now.

The answer to the quiz. On Thanksgiving I finally got the frame of the S’crew cleaned up. Also cleaned up the center section of the floorboards, then coated everything with a decent coat of POR15. Also put on new rear shocks, a gas tank, fuel pump, and spring shackles. In the process of putting in the rebuilt trans.

Is POR-15 the product that can't be exposed to sunlight? I remember there is a coating that is really good for frames but can't be exposed to sunlight.

HJ, this time of year, I don't want to be outside. These 60yr old bones don't like the temps. Helped SWMBO do a rear speed sensor on the daughter's Cruze outside yesterday. YUCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kind of breezy, damp, kind of cold (30F/0C). Not looking forward to the She Shed build. The shop is 70* anytime I'm in it during the fall/winter/spring, so shop time is always good.
JGG, yes, this is that stuff. I used it on the GF dump box sides/tailgate, but then top coated it with tractor enamel from TSC. It's not UV stable, and about $65-70 a quart. For both applications, since pretty isn't even a priority, it was brush and roller. I used Rust-Oleum on the GF frame and the rust is bleeding through big time. I'll go over it again with the same treatment the box got.

I was outside swapping radios from one burb to another this morning and it felt pretty cold here too, I have two large shops, yet I can't get a burb inside to do any repairs, that doesn't even make any sense when I say it out loud........

I hear you on the absurdity of of not getting something into the shop. The entrance to the shop is blocked by the box for the S'crew. UGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I get this thing up and running, then move some things around, and I might be able to use the shop. Then I need to haul in another 80yds of fill sand so I can move vehicles and trailers around so I can plow. Yeah, I feel the Strouty pain.

We close the 29th. Then we get to put a house on it, and moved everything in. That should be fun.
Sounds like it is time to build a dedicated automotive repair shop.

thats cheating to use the Kubota instead of the old trusty mule to get all that dirt moved around. It sure is faster though! Ig I had to make the same decison I'd be sure to go that same route. Gonna have to due more work for the neighbor though!

Looks like I'm going to be in the same boat with you, I have a load of lumber sitting in my shop blocking everything and on my way home last night I lost all the brakes on my GMC, I hate jacking a truck up on gravel.
That's the problem. The current shop is pretty much dedicated to vehicle repairs. There's just so many that need repair.
Universal tools are great. but also a royal pain.
It was the only way I could keep up with the deliveries. And that was almost impossible using the Kubota. He was dropping 20yds. every 50 minutes for almost 9 hours straight on back to back days. I worked his tractor HARD.
I HATE working on gravel/dirt/grass. One of these days I'm going to have a shop, and I'll work on car in it. Oh wait, I do have a shop.

I see your toolbox is also a bit on the busy side. It's actually nice to see that; most of the ones I see on here are so well organized and not cluttered it makes me dismayed about my box. Not that I have anything against that, I just can't seem to get there.

The Milwaukee addiction is real, but they do help make things easier for sure.
In my shop, the drawers are everywhere making the shop unusable, I hope once they are installed, I can put things away.

Be careful. The people that sell that make it so that it will burn the ground, kill everything in sight, then tax you to clean up the mess
What the heck is that stench?!?!?! Went to put gas in the tank and thought I smelled something bad. Pulled the filler neck off and got slapped in the face HARD by the smell. The tank had been sitting on the shop floor without the filler neck for a month or two. Guess he couldn’t get out. Even after putting a little gas in it, the tank still smelled awful.
