Tractor show looks just like our three Florida Flywheelers show. A lot of those look familiar so I bet they spend the winter at Flywheelers since a lot of members are from your neck of the woods.

I’ll have to steal the lamp idea. 👍

Did someone get the plate of the truck that hit me? And yes, I know I move at the speed of a snail stuck in molasses. We dug 23 holes and put cement in the bottom of them back last December. We finally started putting up the poles. First redig the holes by hand, then try to find an efficient way to drop the poles into the holes.collapsed hole.jpgCollapsed hole.jpg

Since the motor blew on the GF, time for a transplant. The new engine is a Vortek, with Gen 2 heads (I think?). Upgrade to an Edelbrock intake, got the adaptor for the Holley valve covers, and am in the process of replacing the timing chain. While the engine is out, I also decide to reseal the sieve, I mean trans.Big hole.jpgDead heart.jpgLeaky Trans.jpgPTO.jpgHeart transplant.jpgresealed trans.jpg

My better half got tired of cellular based internet, so we took Elon up on his offer to get a partial version of Starlink. We bought his bracket, and it required a significant amount of alteration to make it work. It was designed to be mounted on the south side of the house, and we needed it on the north. On the plus side, we finally have good internet,……most of the time. We were told it would slow down (and it does) during the evenings, until the constellation of satellites is complete.Musky.jpg

And a picture of just anothher day in rural America, being caught in a traffic jam. I thought about driving under him.

That would have been corny if you did drive under it. :)

They do have pole installation peoples. Don't they do barn raisings in that neck of the woods.

Thhat was a bad Dad joke. The Sonic would come close to fitting. Definitely sort enough. And yes, there are people that do that, but they cost more than we can afford.

I saw a girl driving a.spray coupe on the road hit a culvert. It bounced so high I don't know how it didn't roll over.

I don't doubt it. These things FLY down the road.

I'm feeling that building, and it hurts.

I'm definitely getting older.

Thanks Bob. Unfortunately I wasn't as smart in my youth as you, or my wife were, so my wallet is much shallower than yours. This is one time I wish it were really deep.

Good Progress K! Going to have it closed in before winter?

I feel like the new shop will need a sign on the front door, "I'm way to freaking old for this" :lol_hitti

I'll be thrilled if I can have the roof on before the white stuff gets here. Since this her shop, maybe I'll put that on mine. Or maybe it'll say "he was too old to build it"?

It makes me hurt,
But you will be so happy when its done.
Yes I will. And so will she, so we can finally get started on her hemp.

I am sensing a theme here, don't get old? Is that the message?

Looking good, how is the GF coming along?
Either don't get old, or get the heavy lifting done well before you do get.

On the GF front, just , just , just shut up. I don't want to talk about it. Exhaust boltS busted off in the head, had a hard time getting an intake to fit, even harder time trying to figure out what the engine is orignally out of so we could get a timing chain set. Hope I got it right this time

Well that *****, hope you get things figured out, I have been down that road, I usually buy the whole vehicle now, that way I know what I have (unless engine was previously swapped). As for getting old, well, I can't seem to stop it from happening......

I got the right chain and gears for it, I think. Going with a '92 1/2ton. And as for growing old, can't stop it, but we can be smart about it, prep for it, and try to get the heavy lifting done ahead of time. I just can't seem to get it through Robin's head that there is a point where I shouldn't be doing some of these things. "You can just hire it done". 'But you just told me we don't have the money for it'.

This past weekend, my biological daughter came out and helped us put the third wall up. Unfortunately, the last two poles were off by a full pole width, so we get to pull them back out of the ground. Don’t know, and don’t care who made the mistake (it wasn’t me, they don’t let me do the important stuff), just want to finish fixing it. Fixed one on Sunday. 6, plus one to fix, left, then onto headers and girts. Lord, I’m way too old for this.

I wonder how long it'll take for the grass to grow back where the poles sat.

You may be too old but you're making good progress! Just keep chugging along.

About 3 times as long as it will take the weeds to start growing.
