No progress on the She Shed. Saturday was shot working on the sickle mower, so SWMBO could start cutting her hemp. Sunday was spent putting the Girlfriend back together, but she doesn't want to fire up. Diagnosing that. Need to get that done, because the daughter's car has been down for a month (brakes), waiting to get into the shop. I thought about lights, but these are 40' trusses and I'm +16' in the air. Mentally worn out, shoulder is bugging me, but I'll just keep trugging along.

I've been watching for one of those, I would like to make a removable table so it could be used horizontally or vertically.

This one doesn't have a deep enough throat to do much.

Careful with the shoulder, you will be useless without it.

That roller is pretty cool looking, apparently it was an enabler too. ;)

Yeah, I've been going to therapy for it, but seeing as I can't quit on putting up Momma's She Shed, it never gets much better. Going into see the Doctor again next week. I'm guessing he'll shake his finger at me, and tell me what an evil patient I am.

Hit a big milestone the other night. Tried to fire up the Girlfriend on Sunday, with no luck. Poured some gas down the carb and got a backfire. Yep, got the dizzy in 180* off. Once I got that straightened out, she fired right up. Seems that every time I try to stab a distributor, I put it in 180 off. Anyway, after I revved it a couple of times, shut it down, I walked around the truck and found this. Yep, I served an eviction notice to Mickey Mouse. No sign of the rodent(s) though.Mickey Mouse Eviction.jpgMickey Mouse Eviction 2.jpg

Good on you for getting it running!
I've put them in 180 degrees off before... easy to do.

Mice..... :Gun1:
I fought them motherfathers  last winter in my storage garage.
May I suggest Tomcat sticky traps?

I'll try the sticky traps. The Tomcat bait boxes and poison are useless. And that thing about dryer sheets and Irsh spring soap smelling enough to drive them away, I ain't buying it. I have an old 4spd truck trans laying around the shop. The mice crawled in through the shifter opening and made a nest inside. And we all know how lovely 80w90 smells.

I had better luck using a 5 gallon bucket trap, in the shed, at our last house. If it’s unheated use non-toxic antifreeze instead of water.

Something you can do to keep the critters out of the exhaust pipe is to stuff a couple of steel wool pads in the outlet.
Just remember to remove the pads when you go to start the engine.

I appreciate the critter control discussion you guys have going on here. I should really get some more critter deterrent around my project truck.

Good to see your getting some progress K! Your getting yours done faster than I am lol.

Well that was a total 5hit 5how. Drove the Girlfriend around town for a few days to make sure she was going to be reliable. So I put the sickle mower on the goose neck trailer and drove to my parents place to cut the last field of hemp. No issues on the trip over and none during the hemp cutting. Got about 1/4 of the way home and she died. No clue what the deal is. AAA is towing her and the gooseneck back to our place.

Breaking news..de de dt dt de dt (supposed to be that noise when they interupt a program). The tow truck driver just called and said the GF fired right up and drove onto his truck. WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Does the engine have a HEI distributor?
The ignition module can take a **** and only work till they heat up, then after cooling down work again. ???

He backed it off the roll back as well. A good thing that came out of the towing is that at a severe angle, the coupler at the gas tank filler neck leaks, and something seems to be leaking on the right front corner.

Thank HJ. Same to you and Pat.

Since Jim brought it up. Yesterday was a beautiful day here. Sunny, warm(mid 40's), no real wind. So you'd think I'd be busy prepping for the big storm, or working on Momma's She Shed. But as you guessed, that would be a big NO. Instead we spent the day on the road. Momma is now the proud owner of a round baler, and a hay tedder. The mess is supposed to get here around noon, and we're in the process of trying to put up Claudia's (the dozer) bedroom (garage in a box) so that we can get Claudia and the lawn equipment out of the weather. Pics to follow.

Good luck Kirk. Are you guys supposed to get lots of snow with this? They issued a blizzard warning for us this morning, I've never seen that before.

Well, that was a bit of a let down, at least so far. We might have 4". It is blowing really hard, so it's kind of hard to tell. Even helped the neighbor get his tractor ready for the snow. I think I'll spend the day cleaning the shop, another way over due task.

That's a hard pass on that, Chris. It felt good to get the yard finally cleaned up, so I think I'll continue the trend. The place has been out of control for a year now, time to reign it back in.

A slight breeze is enough not to be handling sheet metal, let alone the polar vortex or polar express or whatever catch phrase is in right now.

Have a safe and wonderful holiday season...🎄

Hopefully it wont be too bad for you guys. Snow is fine, but wind and snow really *****.

Why is it that when you need something it's always broke? I helped my grandfather put his snowplow on the truck on Wednesday. Spent most of the day on that and it still doesn't work.
