A vintage Craftsman Socket set.

We had a post a little while back asking about a full set make-up and I thought I would share a set that has taken me over 40 years to put together; not sure it is complete but it was fun working on it.

Question for you, what is it worth and not in (It is worth what someone is willing to pay, blah, blah, blah)...

What is a typical sold for price on the Ebay or what do you guys sell them for?
All 1/2 Drive:

1 1/8 to 7/16 All BE with two sizes 29/32 & 21/32 14 sockets total.
4 sockets all 8pt 3/4 not BE but H and 5/8, 9/16/ & 1/2 all marked BE.

WOW - 40 years!!! That smacks of patience, perseverance, persistence. Nice set.

The value in your set is in your memories of assembling it. Unfortunately, the set is not worth much in dollar value. I've seen sets exactly like yours sell on FleaBay for less than 50 bucks.

I don't buy or sell on eBait, woody, and your set is early 1930's, but in my circles (WWII), it's not much different than what thehorse13 is reporting. Wartime underline C geometric logo CRAFSMAN BE sockets typically sell for $3 to $5 per, and large sets are discounted. A set like yours would typically sell for $35 to $50, depending on condition. Yours look super clean, by the way.

Good job guys now it gives me an idea for how much to ask.... I never got into this hobby thinking of getting rich but rather for the fun of it and the challenge of putting things together.

Now that I am older then 21, cough, cough, cough it is time for the next generation to enjoy these old tools.

Here is a partial circle H set that I picked up at an estate sale last year. I paid $30 for it and it came with some non-Craftsman tools. After removing the extras I listed it on eBay for $75 to start. After a month of no bids I gradually reduced the price to $40 plus freight and it finally sold. I had a little better luck with a 3/8" drive set without box later in the year. The first picture is as found and the last is as sold. Hope that is of some use to you.
