I'll give you $15 for it. I'll pull out the vice-grips and use them. Those are the old Petersens' that I like. I'll use the board for some scrap.

Yes, I'm about the function of tools rather than the artistic nature of 'em! That is pretty neat though. - Paul

I sometimes think that OSB is primarily 10% metal. Working at HD I saw so many sheets of OSB with large bolts, screws, nuts and unidentifiable machine parts embedded in them like that. Never saw any actual tools in the wood though!

Makes me nervous every time I have to cut a sheet of OSB. You stand a decent chance of hitting metal if you cut enough of it.

Not sure if those vise grips would even be worth removing from the wood. They are probably crushed. Bunks of sheet wood get stacked high and if that sheet was in the bottom bunk of OSB it probably had 10 or more tons of weight on top of it.

So what are old vise grips? I have a pair new or nearly new in the original box.

Old USA made ones from Petersen Nebraska are way better than newer ones. The grippy vice ends just don't deflect or dent or wear down much at maximum clamping power with those. The newer ones are not so good for those things and wear. I love old Petersens, as do many on GJ. Even old rusty ones found are worth redemption and future use. - Paul
