Hey guys -

Just a "head's up" to you all....

I got 3 of these notices sent to my regular e-mail account:

Dear sammerdog,

Someone has tried to log into your account on The Garage Journal Board with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 75.190.253.216

All the best,
The Garage Journal Boa
rd

I'm not a real big computer guy, so I'm not sure what evil could come out of a situation like this, other than people posting as one another on here.

Any of you computer "geeks" think there's any reason for concern? The wife and I were gone from the house when these notes were posted, so it's not my beautiful wife checking up on me.

Well, there is reason for concern only in that someone is trying to guess your password to get into your account. I think the admins can match the ip to see which member is trying, if it is a member.

If you're really paranoid, make sure your computer's security is up to date and not hiding a trojan or anything else, then change your password, but it's likely not needed, since they can't figure it out, though if you have an easy one, they might get it.
