I have been searching for a top box KRL791 for my 761 for over a year and when one would pop up they always wanted $2500 plus for the 791. I couldn't do that for a mismatched one so finally a cranberry one popped up for $2000 in like new condition. I only could get him down to $1650 so I jumped on it. I didn't think another cranberry 791 would show up again.

Updated a better pic.

looks pretty sharp, is it empty? lol

No, I was running two 761 side by side for a short time but emptied out the second 761 into the 791 and only have one empty draw for now. I just got it tonight so I haven't efficiently rearranged my tools yet, just threw them up in the top so I could list the black 761 for sale.

I feel your pain on the wait. It took me 8 years or so and alot of driving to put together a 761/791/712 set. Mine is in standard Snap On Red. The wait was worth it though as I never could have afforded to by that whole setup new.

i just couldn't wait. i bought a brand new krl722 roll cab 24" deep, but soon realised i didnt have enough space, i found a brand new krl1251 at a give away price, but it's 29" deep, so it's gonna hang over the back by 5" just a good job i dont have to roll it around

Man that's a win, that's the only downside to all the colors they have. You hardly ever see top boxes period, to find it in your color that's awesome.

I am really happy with my set up. I always wanted the 761/791 since I started wrenching. I had bought the bottom box about 7 years ago for $2000 otd at a pawn shop. I almost traded both 761's for a KRL1003 but saw this and that plan got thrown on the back burner.

The red is called "Kenosha Red", hence the designation KR.

The things one learns in "tool school"!

Buying a color other than regular red makes your box distinctive. It also makes it nearly impossible to add on. Your finding a "Kenosha Red" top box at a good price, I'd be out buying lottery tickets by the bagful.

The cranberry isn't Kenosha Red. Kenosha Red is what was earlier referred to as standard Snap-On red.

If you've ever heard the New Riders of the Purple Sage sing Panama Red, you'll never hear the song the same way once you think of it as Kenosha Red!

You made a great decision in waiting for just the right one. I saw a great deal on my top box ($700) and couldn't pass it up, so I bought it. I really don't care about the colors as I like them both, but now always in the back of my mind I am on the lookout for a blue bottom AND a green top. So your wait was beneficial because now you aren't looking for any boxes, whereas if you just picked a mismatched color you would have had to look for TWO!

It's true about anything not red is harder to find add on's for. I got the Bel Air box and Teal stuff is hen's teeth too. I'm looking for another locker or lower side add on box and it's damn near impossible.

That's a great color. Everytime my SO guy has a cranberry box on the truck I have to bite my tongue.

Red, I'm happy with red.
