I decided to have today of and do a few jobs around the house.

First job was to wash my car. I have done a lot of traveling to Tamworth lately.
Its about 400km each way from my house. I have been going up in the morning and back in the afternoon. I use to live in Tamworth from 1997-2001.

http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/country-nsw/tamworth-area/tamworth

I have had the Ford Ranger for 15 months now and has been a great car. It has 25000km on it now.

First up is a hose down.
Snow foam which I love and smells nice.
2 bucket wash.
Waxed it with Meguiars Synthetic Xpress wax.
Cleaned the inside with 1z Cockpit Premium.
Tyres, steps and mudflaps are done with Chemical Guys V.R.P. Dressing
Now in the garage till Monday.

Don't no why the photos are sideways sorry not very computer savvy.

Next job was the front lawn. Mowing it every 3 weeks is great.:thumbup:

As you can see my back lawn is growing well.

Now its time for my refreshments.:beer2::beer2:

Don't forget the V8s are on this weekend.

Truck and yard are looking great! I need to get some new detailing chemicals and a foam cannon for our new truck.

Yep, Ranger came up a treat. And it is good when the lawn starts to slow down, isn't it.

I think mine is fine now through to September.

And yes - the V8's are back on this weekend. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to see what I can get done in the shed in the morning tomorrow.

It does wonders to just get a day to yourself and tick off a few things.

Ute looks good. I haven't got to learning about spray wax yet, is it just a spray on wipe off with microfibre cloth and do you do that after each wash ?

Cheers GB

Rod, you can use it while the car is wet or dry once it has been washed. With this product you can use it in direct sunlight a panel at a time.
Spray product onto panel. With a microfibre towel wipe all over panel.
Turn microfibre over and wipe off.
The best thing is you can do your windows, black rubbers around your windows and inside your car door jams. I do it every wash. I do a lot of country driving and it makes it easy to remove bugs from the front off the car.

Another site to look at http://www.expert-mobile-car-detailing.com/

Darren also has some great tips.

I hope this makes sense Rod.

Aaron, not the first to say your yard looks a treat, but I'll say that I noticed that you do a diagonal second mow. I like the look but I have a little larger lawn and am happy to get it done with one pass. So as nice as that looks, I probably will never see mine that way. But I do like it. Maybe if I have some extra time someday I'll give it a go.

A, yep the yard looks great, my neighbour did a second pass over his back yard a couple of years ago. It spelled out his surname, in letters 6m (20') high. It took him about 2 hours to plan and pace it out. He did it so that his visitors flying in could see it from the plane.
The ute looks nice. The advancements with car care products is fascinating, a long way since newspaper and Metho for the glass and Sunlight soap and water for the paint.

Thanks DLC. I just like the way it looks. Out the front I have curves in the lawn. When spring comes I will post better photos of the lawn. With winter here now the lawn will slow down. I can't wait for spring so my lawn can fill in more.

Thanks for stopping in.

That would of looked great with your neighbours lawn.

Yes the ute is great. It's a pain to wash as it so big but I can't have a dirty car.

Thanks for stopping in.
