I'm just about to start my garage makeover and just want to run it by everyone and see if I'm missing anything, or there are just better options.

Mostly, I need more storage, and to add a workbench and tool box.

I'll post a couple of pictures, and I've tried to add captions with my current thoughts;

On the right hand side, I plan to do a MonsterRax overhead rack (either 2x6 or 2x8), and either some FastTrack or ProSlat on the wall underneath.

And on the back wall, I want to do the MonsterRax overhead, 2 or 3 of the NewAge Pro Series wall cabinets with some pegboard or ProSlat between the cabinets and workbench, and a NewAge Pro Series standing cabinet.

And a simple, sturdy workbench that has space underneath to roll a tool cabinet. Maybe something like this Craftsman;

And finally, either a HF 44" roller cabinet or look for a used Snap On, etc.

So....any thoughts?

Are you keeping the frig?

Instead of a work bench I would use two HF 44" boxes and leave a gap between them and build a wood top over both for a work bench. If you have an Ikea near by you can use their kitchen cabinets to fill in the rest of the area.

Here is a pic of my garage to show you what I mean.

I like the idea in theory. But the freezer is staying, just being moved against the wall. That'll give me 10' of space.

And I'd also like to be able to roll the tool chest out if necessary.

My toolboxes are still on wheels. I just remove the wood top and wheel them out when I clean. 10' with 2 44's give you 32" of leg room for a shop stool to work at.

I like the idea, but I want the large standing cabinet. So, I've basically got room for it and a 6-7' workbench.
