So I have been on the group for years and years - bu never had an opportunity to post something meaningful...

But I am officially starting (too start) my 30x40 backyard shop!

I purchased plans from planshopp216(?) on ebay - but I plan on making quite a few changes.

Got preliminary approval from the HOA, and found my concrete guy - but plan on doing 100% of the on my own and with friend labor.

Loooking forward to starting a build Gallery!

Make it 6 ft wider, you loose so much valuable space along the walls, just not enough room with 2 cars in. Been in them, worked in them. 40 is even better and not much more juice as so much of it is in fixed cost on a project like this.

Understood, but am pushing it with what I am doing - I only have 1/2 acre in an uptight subdivision...

I think 30' wide for two stalls is just fine. You will have a little room on each side for storage, and then plenty of workspace in the 20' in front of the vehicles.
