So I've just aquired a used Skat Blast 960 with foot valve. The cabinet is a project, needs cleaning and new paint inside and out. The blast gun is corroded and bad. The pickup siphon tube is rusted and worn. Which means I have to get a replacement sor all.

Is there a better option than to replace with Skat Blast parts? Is there anything that would work better? This is the C-35

something like this?

I'm going to buy something anyway, which is recomended?

The skat blast gun is great, and has a good selection of available jets and tips for different flow volumes, media types, etc.

That said, If you've got a pedal, the gun form factor with the handle (which is identical to their trigger model but without the trigger) might be redundant unless you just find it comfortable. If you're going for high flow/low restriction, a "y style" gun is going to be best. That said, if you're sticking with a pickup tube rather than converting to a gravity feed, youre probably not chasing pure throughput.

If I had a nice cabinet, but my air/media system was shot, I would go with something like one of the tacoma kits.

Mainly just wanting it to work. Have been frustrated with the HF style before, wanted to make sure I start well. I assume Skat has it figured out.
FWIW, I have an 80 gallon tank and the pump is rated 15 cfm
