You know you shouldn't, but you know you do, so admit it. Tell me what brand and type of tools you have that has withstood the trials of abuse and time.

GJ has me wanting to buy more tools. I usually end up regretting these impulses later on

My HF hammer drill. For $35,it has earned its price many times over.

My 6.5x10 utility trailer. Bought it for 500 from a friend almost 20 years ago, its been unbelievably useful. From moves, to cleanouts, to camping, etc. It owes me nothing and would be replaced within a couple days if something happened to it

Irwin side cuts. Other than snapping the tips off trying to cut a hose clamp, they've been flawless. Used daily for 2 years.

Over the years it has been SK.. The guys pick them up whenever they see them cheap at flea markets or garage sales and toss them in the service trucks to be badly neglected and abused. But they hold up....

$10 HF grinder. Cut-off wheels, flap disks, grinding disks, doesn't matter. Cant kill the thing!

Agreed on this.

Also, my original brushed 20v 1/4" impact driver. DCF885 IIRC. Submerged in coolant (oops), largely used for ag repair (hasn't driven many deck screws, but has sat and hammered on a heck of a lot of stuck bolts it shouldn't have been). Despite smelling a bit toasty since new, it's been a trooper. I'm going to miss it, lol, now that I have a proper 3/8.

Also, HF el cheapo breaker bar. It made the front end on an oliver 1850 light when I had to use the loader to get a neighbor's skidsteer tire off. Didn't even need to warranty it between.

I wonder if our M18 or my Mac 20v 1/2 impact would have taken it off back in the day. Probably not.

ive had 2 of the old orange grinders from HF for over 10 years, and havent managed to kill them...

i'm not a tool user, i'm an abuser....

the only tool ive had repeat failures of is a kobalt 1/2" dr long handle flex ratchet.

i'll admit, it gets abused in my line of work....

I have a wright 1/2 regular length ratchet that has had a 6’ pipe on it several times and been beat with a hammer. Havent broke it yet, and that is my go to ratchet for situations where i dont want to put a pipe on a nice tool. And its hard to use a breaker bar with a 6 point socket in a tight place, sometimes you cant pull it far enough to get another bite with the breaker bar, so out comes the ratchet and cheater pipe.

My 3/4" SK ratchet, that thing has had an excavator bucket put down on it for leverage before, not a single problem, it takes it without complaint. Now that I think about it, pretty much all my SK tools are like that

That’s funny your go to when you don’t want to put a cheater pipe on a nice tool. Wright tools are beautiful. Nice to know they can handle it.

I bought extra Craftsman WF screwdrivers not only for normal use, but to grind and bend into specialty tools.

My wife!

She takes a licking and keeps on ticking!

Bill

Bill I need a new one of those, I think mines broke. I wonder if Taiwan offers one with a lifetime warranty:dunno:

Glad to hear that about the sk ratchets I have old US cman hand me downs that I abuse, they are in really rough condition, I have been flirting with the idea of replacing them just haven't gotten to it yet.

One thing not mentioned is I abuse the hell out of a long 1/2 extension alot more than I realized.

+1 farmall450 I have a makita impact driver I beat on too much, I actually prefer it over a 3/8 impact
