Hell of a fastener... it's unusual when the wrench gives before the fastener's corners do.

Ive seen alot of those Old "Square Beam" Mac's bend, I was at a Estate Sale one time and giving a guy some Grief over a Set of Wrenches that i was interested in and was pointing out that a couple of them where Bent (Working on getting that Price down). This old man looked at me with his Most Serious facial Expression you could imagine and Said "Son.. These are working man tools" I didnt know what to say.. No Telling how many Fasteners that Mac Wrench broke loose before the box end broke, Probably wasnt abused.. Just Used.

Thats what this broke on, Ford driveshaft bolts. Didn't think to ask what wrench he used to finish the job.

I broke the box end off a 3/4" Mac wrench and the broken piece went flying across the shop. Mac told me he couldn't warranty it until I had the other piece. It took me a few days to find it. Mac then told me he wasn't sure if it was covered under warranty. I had to wait over 3 weeks to get another one. That's my luck with Mac.

Well that was a first. I had a Mac ratchet that needed fixed to. He gave me the kit and said he would pick up the broke parts next week.

Your bud needs a 3/8 12pt swivel impact socket, and a 3/8m to 1/2f adapter. Let's you use a impact. The amount of thread locker used makes these bolts hell. A impact is the only practical way. I've made hi-per wrenches flex into a space closer to a half moon screwing around...
