I never new that either and have 2 of those jacks
Yeah that's good to know like I said I haven't even unboxed mine it just got here today and I haven't been feeling too too well today, I got it from Amazon warehouse deals I hope it's okay.
I would have liked to just buy it from pelican but money is a bit of an issue for me.
I got it for $494.34 total, after tax.

@Steve:
Why don´t you sell AC anymore ?
A few reasons.........it's tough to compete on price against Amazon with free shipping and offer the same level of service that I used to. Plus, now at age 68 and working on my own (and having had my 2nd inguinal hernia repair 3 weeks ago), I'm physically not up to it.

Is there a special way I need to bleed these DK 13 jacks before putting it into service?
Also is it recommended to change the oil on these Jacks periodically?
However, if so, I understand the fill plug is on the bottom of the cylinder
Can it be accessed without removing the cylinder from the jack, or should I just not worry about it?
I've never really changed oil on none of my jacks but I want to take care of this one.

Still have to unbox mine still not feeling 100%, well I never get up to 100% anyways LOL.....
Got my prolift jack stands delivered today that was an Amazon warehouse deal because Amazon jacked them up from $55 to $97 something, last week.
They look good though the box looks like it went through world war I and world war II, but the stands are in good shape few scrapes here and there nothing major welds look nice, everything looks nice and straight the safety pins still had the foam wrapped around them and taped I don't think they were ever even delivered they must have the box just must have got tore up in the warehouse Maybe so I'm going to hold on to them I was thinking of getting another pair of the Napa 7th on jack stands on sale for $100 right now but I think these will be okay.

2500 denali hd, I will have to Google that.

There have been a few complaints about the fast drop speed of the DK13HLQ over the years. It takes a fine touch but once you get used to it, no problem. I had a well respected member of the BMW forums turn around and sell his DK13 shortly after he purchased it because of this issue.

The DK20 and DK13 use the same hydraulics. If AC were to change the valving for the DK13 jack, it would be very difficult to get it to drop without any load on it. SD
I got trouble here with this Jack I think I'm just going to send it back
There's a circlip missing where one of the arms goes up where it's welded across the area near the pad.
Piece broken out of the handle.
The area on the tipping gear I believe they call it,
Where the handle goes in is slightly mushroomed, which I could clean up with a file, but with everything else, I think I'm going to send it back.
But I'm in trouble a little bit here I cannot seem to get this Jack to go down.
Do I have to install the handle to get it to go down?
If you see the video there they were talking about an adjustment I think it was four to eight millimeter it looks like there's about an inch there but maybe I'm not doing it right?
Is there a way to manually override the release to get that to go down I didn't think about it and started to jack it up a little bit
I need to get it to go down to box it up.
There's a video here I don't know how good it is but hopefully you can see it okay. thank you!
I hope somebody can help me now I'm getting nervous.....lol

Does anyone know if there's a way to manually override the release valve so I can get this Jack to lower?
I have to send the Jack back but I jacked it up a little bit and can't get it to go down I guess I don't quite understand how that's supposed to work.

Yeah, thanks. Turns out, well first off, the opening of the "tipping gear" where it "accepts' the Jack handle was a bit mushroomed.
So I had to file the opening of the tipping gear to accept the Jack handle.
Then it was vital that the slot was lined up perfectly with the 6mm bolt at the bottom the tipping gear, and then the bolt acts as a
keyway, and also locks the handle in to the tipping gear, and also allows the handle to lift and turn to the left, and she dropped right down. There is sort of a circular tang formed on the bottom of the handle,
that activates the release lever.
I don't know if you watch the video but where the handles messed up if maybe I can negotiate some money back from Amazon and buy a new handle off of Pelican, and I may just keep it.
Sometimes you win sometimes you lose when you get something from warehouse deals, I've usually had pretty good luck with warehouse deals though thanks for your help Bud.

Steve, you don't happen to have a handle, the top plastic part, for the dk 13 do you? Drawing attached.
How much shipped to zip code 43971 if so?
Do you or anyone happen to know the size of the circlip used at # 3 in the drawing attached.

You can get service parts from Pelican, but be prepared to wait for them. The handle you mention is part number 36.011.99, handle assembly (includes hardware),

I have no affiliation, but have had to do the same last year. It was $33 and took 4 months to arrive.

I just picked up a new DK13HLQ, but I think it might have trapped air in it or something. It pumps up all the way under no load, but I can only get about one pump under load before it drops back to the floor. Other jacks I've owned were really obvious where to bleed air from.

Any pointers for this AC Hydraulics unit? The manual doesn't say where to bleed from.
