AC Unit Suggestion?

I am in the construction phase of my 26x28x12 garage. It will be completely insulated (Minnesota). I had 2" of insulation placed under my concrete slab as well. What would be recommended for a good AC unit for my building?

I would just stay away from any real high efficiency unit that has microchannel style condenser coils. Many are prone to leaking and the difference in initial cost is hard to justify over how long it takes to pay back the difference in cost between them and the slightly lower SEER units with standard fin tube condenser coils.

Put a $700 18k Friedrich window/wall unit through the wall. With 12’ ceilings you could add a couple of ceiling fans. What are you doing for winter heat?

I have a natural gas heater...a hot dog that is oversized for my building. Thank you for the suggestion!

I run a Big Maxx 50k nat has in my insulated 750SF garage and the Friedrich 18k AC mounted through the wall and the two do a great job. I got both on sale and spent a total of $1,200 including heater exhaust duct.
