AC90 Cable anti-short redheads question

I was wondering about some antishorts that came with my roll of AC90 14-2 wire i have been using them while running the wire to my receptacles,i noticed they have a narrow tab at the end that looks like it may be made to fit into the clamp portion for the metal receptacle box for the AC90 type wire i have,can anyone clear this up for me,i feel silly asking but i want to get it right the first time, its going to be inspected so it need to be done right or at least to code and im a DIY rookie,thanks.

I think I understand you're question. But the elongated tab or point will fit down thru the connector so from inside the box you can see the insulator was installed.
