You can use PL Premium adhesive or use Tapcon screws. You would need a hammer drill or some drills have a hammer setting. Tapcon screw packs usually come with a predrill bit for the specfic size of the screw. Pre drilling will help with not cracking the cinder block. Do not over tighten them though.

Ace hardware should carry it. It is fairly popular. It can be applied with a caulking gun or you can get smaller tubes that you squeeze i believe.

Any local lumber/home improvement store has the PL Premium. It doesn't have to be Home Depot/Lowes/Menards etc.

3/4" marine grade plywood would add to the life of the door.

Build your wooden frame and new access door, then shoot it in place with 22 cal. shot pins. I've used these for decades and never cracked a cinder block, new or old. Cinder block is porous and will easily accept shot pins or concrete nails.

You might want to consider pressure treated lumber for your project. In Coronado there are only two kinds of houses; those that have termites and those who are going to get them.

Pressure treated lumber is the best defense I know of.
