Garage Guys:

I recently installed drawers under my bench using Accuride slides, they are really smooth.

One issue, when the drawer is fully extended they automatically lock. Does anyone have a suggestion or method to prevent this from happening ??
Thanks

It looks like if you either cut off or secure that tang so that it doesn't lock out, that would solve your problem.

I planned to drill and pop rivet the tang down but wondered what anyone else has done.

Thanks Rod!

You can buy the same slide minus the lock

Why is the lock there? Are these installed correctly? The lock usually keeps the drawer from over extending. Lock in/lock out guides are used in mobile applications where the drawers may be out of level when accessed and need to be locked 'out'.

What's the model no.?

I think those locks are for work surfaces like keyboard drawers/cutting boards/etc. or something. IIRC the accuride over-extension "locks" are much different.

Accuride makes a good product, and many styles and models. Check with the manufacturer and verify that what you have is what you want.
