I was in my local Ace and I spotted Craftsman 3/8 socket sets on the shelf in SAE and metric. Craftsman must be branching out to hardware stores?:headscrat

I think my local Ace has been carrying some craftsman stuff for a little over a year now. I remember hearing something about craftsman branching out and not just being sold at sears while sears was going to incorporate more of the other danaher lines, like gearwrench. It's memory and hearsay though, so take that with a grain of salt.

Odd. The local Fastenal used to carry Craftsman, but the sales guy said Cman recently came in and pulled their contract because they're going exclusive to Kmart and Sears now...

Yea they have been carrying them for a few years now. There were a few threads about it a while back when it first started.

I have been to an Ace store that has carried much more Craftsman than some Sears stores. On the other hand, the new Ace in Watertown SD barely lasted a couple years.
