My local paper has these Ace GearWrench sets at 1/2 price in either SAE or metric. 6 pc set for $12.88. They are branded Ace but have the GearWrench logo on them as well. Anyone know if these wrenches are different from actual GearWrench wrenches in other sets? I know they're not reversible but heck for $12.88 they seem like a steal. Still shows full price on the web though.

Do the tools themselves say Ace on them as well? The only thing I could think of is that these are Ace-only set configurations. I don't think I've seen 6-wrench setups anywhere else; I usually see 7 or 8 piece GW sets.

I have bought these. They have the Ace logo on them, with GearWrench on the other side. Ace has a lifetime warranty on these. One set was made in China. Another set was made in Taiwan. I think this is a good deal and will buy more as gifts. My local Ace store is great and I try to support them as much as possible.

Just went there after seeing this. There on sale for $20.00 . I asked a associate and he said it was last week price with a mail in rebate. So right now there $5.00 of regular price.
