Has anyone used acetone based material on their floor? What breathing equipment is needed? Are wide open windows and fans enough?

I would definitely get a good respirator with organic vapor cartridges 3M6001 or vapor filters 3M6098. If you have sensitive eyes, I'd also rec a full-face mask. Otherwise, you may deal with a hangover-like headache for a few hours, at the very least.

Hi, the acetone based products have a very strong odor while applying, but they normally dissipate quickly. Definitely use an organic vapor respirator (these are different then particulate respirator) and you will be fine. Good ventilation is also a great idea.

If you are applying a spray-down acetone based product, make sure to use a special acetone rated pump sprayer as these have different internal seals. Standard sprayers, even industrial grade don't have these seals and the acetone will cause them to fail. We carry the special sprayers since we sell a few acetone type products.
