Acid Etch again after sanding failed Rocksolid?

Hello, I've read a lot of posts and spoke with Rustoleum Tech Support but I would like the advice of others on the board.

Here's the background:

Using Rocksolid on New Garage (4 months old). Last Sunday, I used the included acid etch. On Tuesday, Applied Rocksoild and had some of the "fish eyes" that's can happen with this product if the concrete is not clean, and some other bubbles appear. Yesterday, I used a the Wagner paint remover tool (rotary tool with sander) and then cleaned up with MEK. In some spots I sanded down to bare concrete and others were a light scuffing. This was the recommendation by Rustoleum.

Here's my question, some of the areas that I sanded feel very smooth, almost polished. Do I need to acid etch again?

My coworker (engineer) told me that concrete can still be porous even if it feels smooth. Due to time issues, I'd rather not etch again as I have to do this repair within a few days of applying the original coat.

Acid etch is only effective on concrete, not coatings. If you feel the scuffed material is too smooth, sand it further or grind it off. Your tool may have become glazed and stopped being effective.

Thanks Scotty. I went ahead and did not do the acid etch. I probably won't know for months if that was a mistake or not.

The good news is that the dark spots are gone, but when I reapplied the product, it's much glossier so it doesn't blend with the existing product. It's been 3 days now and it still looks wet (glossy).

Also, I had the micro bubbles appear in many spots. Those don't bother me as much but it's still weird.
