Hi All, Just finished preparing my new floor for some epoxy paint.
It is a new build house, garage floor was poured four months ago.
I acid etched the floor today as per the suppliers instructions.
My question is,can the floor wait to be topcoated after the etching for a couple of days? I want to make sure it is well dried and the weather forcast here looks like rain for the next couple of days,I worry about all the dampness.
Thanks

Do the plastic bag test before proceeding. Take a 2x2 foot patch of clear plastic and tape it down to the floor. wait sevral hours to a day and seeif it is wet, moisture forming. if there is still moisture in the floor let it dry some more. If moisture is present it will not adhere. I acid washed mine and then rinsed it twice. I let it air dry all day with the doors open and then put a dehumidifier in there for a coupl of days with the doors closed and a fan on. I removed 3 full dehumid jugs of water!

Thanks for the reply. My guess is that it will be damp after the plastic test.
Raining fairly hard here now.
