Acid etching changed concrete color

I am acid etching my garage tonight trying to get it ready for TLPPC. I put the acid down and noticed that it changed the color of the floor to a light brown. I have acid etched before and did not have this problem. Any idea what happened? Anyway to fix it?

Did you clean the floor first and what did you use?

I cleaned the floor with simple green. The floor looked great until I put down the acid.

How long ago did you finish the acid etch and have you neutralized it ? If so how long ago was that completed?

I did not neutralize it yet. I was doing it late last night and realized I forgot the baking soda. I flushed it with a ton of water. I planned on neutralizing today. That picture was take 20 minutes after etching but it still looks the same today. Should I etch that section again before I neutralize?

I would NOT etch again. Keep in mind you are going over this floor with a very low solids sealer. Neutralize it and let it dry and see how it looks. Lets talk via PM or email before you proceed.
