I started acid etching my floor last night. I mix it 1gal of acid to 3 gal of water, poured it out and spread with broom. I only had enough acid to do 1/2 of the floor. After i spread it all out i went to turn on the hose and rise it off and the hose was frozen! lol. So i had to let it dry. This morning i went a purchased 6 more gal of acid and did the hole floor. I was reading that you should never let it dry because it leaves a powder on top. By re acid etching 2 more time do you think this will get rid of any problems? after acid etching the last time i used ammonia to neutralize it and rised down the floor with water and squeegeed it dry. Do you think i need to go over the floor with a presure washer or re rinse again?

I'm not sure on the actual acid aspect, but definately use a pressure washer...it will always do more than a hose and scrubbing.

If your walls are drywall I would put plastic up if you plan on doing that!

I used a deck brush and buckets of water, worked fine for me.

I ammonia rinsed and rinsed again before pressure washing one time and the lines from washing are obvious, so I'll need to do it a couple more times. If it still looks chalky then you've probably still got residue on it.
