acid stain and correct profile for clear coat

I am applying green acid stain on my floor. I have a look where the stain is mottled where I have green patches and patches where I can see the concrete color. I like it, but the acid has only been on 1 hr. Is that enough to correctly profile the concrete for a clear epoxy sealer?

it should look and feel like 100 grit sand paper, if not, redo.

Try and follow the manufacturers instructions.
You want that color to really penetrate and stay behind when you are done neutralizing and rinsing. It always lightens a bit.

The texture feels pretty good. But there are areas that are very light. I like how it looks. but I want to feel comfortable that the sealer will stick correctly. I used one coat and put it on pretty thick. Let it sit for a half an hour and then neutralized and cleaned. I hope I don't have to do it again.

Well, I just coated it again with acid stain and am waiting to neutralize. hopefully all works out good.

Apply baking soda/ water combo (one cup : one gallon) and scrub with bristle broom. Irrigate liberally with water several times and allow to fully dry.

Is there a way to tell when the surface is fully clean?
