Acid stain brand experiences

I’m looking to use an acid stain on a recently poured garage floor - to make it visually more interesting than gray...I will then coat with a sealer from one of the vendors on this site.

My question is what brands have people used for acid stains - and do they have good or bad experiences to report?

I don’t remember the manufacturer of it. Bought it at a local concrete supplier. Four different colors. It worked well, some colors were better than others as it’s the mineral content that it reacts with. Not enough of the mineral and the effects are light. I would most definitely do it again. They have water based stains too that have a good reputation. I will never have gray concrete again. The vendors here are great to work with and are very responsive to questions.

I sincerely hope that we can discuss and give honest feedback for vendors who aren't sponsors. I'm pouring a new slab and am considering a water based dye, but am having a difficult time getting basic questions answered. I want to go with a GJ sponsor/vendor, but I'm giving my business to whoever gives the best pre-sale support.

EcoEtch works insanely well if directions are followed. I can't believe how well it etched the the test polished floor.

Frankly reading the original article you posted gave me the idea for the approach - although i don't think I am going to be as bold as you in my color choice...
