I’ve bought a few tools from Acme lately and they sent me a 15% promo code with the last tool, to use toward another purchase within 30 days. I put an item in my cart and applied the code just to see what the total would be, then removed the item from my cart and went to a different site.
When I went back on today, the code wouldn’t work. I called Acme and they said once you click “apply” on a promo code, whether you complete the order or not, that code can no longer be used.
Just wanted to let everyone know so they don’t lose out like I did.
I called their support line and talked to a guy about it. He said the code is only valid for one use whether a purchase is made or not, but he did email me a 10% off promo code instead so I didn’t lose out entirely. Just lost a few bucks for my own stupid mistake.
