Anyone ever buy from acmetools.com? Looking for a new mitersaw and they have the best price around that I can find on the saw I want.

Just got a dewalt 20v set from them w/ 2 free tools! They've been great, there was a small mixup with one of the free tools (sent a recip. saw instead of angle grinder) which they handled quickly and effortlessly.

I've taken advantage of their free shipping with orders over $200 a few times. No problems so far.

Two items on their website said call about availability and price and I promptly got a human on the phone who answered my questions.

I get emails from them frequently with Promo codes and deals. I do have some issues tracking these down on their site but if I keep the email and use it as a direct link I can find the promo page until the end of the sale as listed. That's my only minor gripe.

They occasionally have 15-20% off sales on stuff that never goes on sale elsewhere. So, I've bought a couple things from them and my order has always shown up quickly and in good condition.

I'm waiting for a sale as well. I have some Milwaukee to buy, as well as a few boxes of USP screws.

Another vote for Acme Tools

Here is a little history

Acme tools was founded in North Dakota and they started a catalog business under the name of "Tool Crib of the North". When Amazon started growing and selling tools (remember, Amazon started out selling books) - they bought out the internet rights to the "Tool Crib of the North". (I used to love getting their catalogs.)

After 10 years - around 2009, Acme was allowed to sell over the internet again and here we are. Great prices, fast shipping = hard to beat

I remember tool crib of the north catalogs and ordered a bunch of stuff from them back in the day.

I've placed several orders from acme, mostly m18 and some other construction tools. Moved to IA last year and just recently found out they have a store in Des Moines that I want to get to some day. Would be great trip depending on how much they have on the show room floor. Just need to leave my wallet at home.

Acme also has brick and mortar stores up here in the north. The store near me is HUGE and they have an excellent inventory on hand, with plenty of sales people too. I've never ordered on-line from them, but I have spent thousands of dollars at Acme Tools in person. :)

I've bought several times from Acme in the last few years - Honda Lawnmower, Makita Air Compressor, and smaller stuff. Prices are usually good, shipping is reasonable (when not free) and you get to talk to live people if you need to call for customer service.

I was in Minneapolis for work back in 2011 / 2012 and visited one of the brick and mortar stores - good inventory, lots of options, and knowledgeable staff. It's a good thing I don't live near one of their stores because my wallet would be much lighter.

I bought the cordless 18V Milwaukee Miter saw when they had some 20% off deal with free shipping. Win win!

I bought my Delta table saw ( 5hp, 3 packages 800lbs) and got best price and free shipping with lift gate. Hard to beat that.

Thanks guys! I pulled the trigger this morning on a new saw. Ordered the Makita LS1019L as a replacement to my old B&D industrial 12".

Decided today I would take a drive over to Des Moines and check out the store. Very nice. Went looking for a dust collector hose for my small tools, router, track saw, Sanders, etc. The store wasn't huge but pretty big and packed full of tools. Very well organized and layed out and easy to find things. It makes home depot's tool department look like a little toy box. The amount of things like sds bits and other blades and bits is just amazing. Things you normally can only get online. The oddball things that are more geared towards contractors but that you still need if you are did and you can't get at box stores.

Here's another good vote for 'em. Well packaged & quick shipping to California.
Got the Fuel Sawzall 9ah kit months ago for $207.
Got the Fuel Grinder 9ah kit CyberMonday 20% off for $199 & I added some Inkzalls for free shipping.

Well got my order early, kudos to acme for that. The downside was minor shipping damage thanks to Makita's less than stellar packaging and FedEx. The detent bracket 15 degree marker was rubbed off. Waiting to see if acme will send a new part. 75fb6873ae368b9ef0099618ba285864.jpg

They're great to buy from. I've only bought Milwaukee gear from them but their prices often seem to be a bit lower than others, and they've had some promo code deals. Bought my M12 heated hoodie a while back, arrived two days early.

I went to college in North Dakota and frequented their local brick and mortar store as they had an incredible selection and nice display of some great tools and brands. I bought my first SK tools there in the early 2000's.

Can't say enough good about them. Get on their e-mail list and they have great savings. Bought the Milwaukee 18v vacuum from them and the hose had a kink in it. Called them and the girl asked me to e-mail her a picture. The new one was there in a few days. All of their orders are track-able ( Fed-Ex ). They are the best online tool source I have found.

They now stock Wright hand tools instead of SK, at least at the store near me. I was told several years ago by one of their sales guys that they stopped selling SK because at one point they had a hard time getting inventory from SK, so they switched to selling Wright. This would have been around the time just before SK was bought out by Ideal. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem nowadays...

It's nice to walk into a brick-and-mortar store and be able to buy made in USA hand tools. My last Wright purchase was from Acme, it was the 3/8 drive in a 1/4 body ratchet.

Pretty quick turnaround on this order. Plus they had 20% discount.

I actually work for Acme Tools up here in North Dakota. Phenomenal company to work for. I'm actually on the equipment end of things but we have 11 brick and mortar stores and one monstrous warehouse for the online business! Acme's online business(Tool Crib of the North) was actually bought out by Amazon back in '99, as it was the largest web based provider of tools at that time. They had a non-compete for 10 years(ended in '09), and since then Acme has grown tremendously on the web. The brick and mortar stores are a toy store for guys/gals like us, could spend all day there looking at tools....
