Wanted to know if anyone here on the forums is familiar, and has first hand experience with using this device and fully understands the information being provided by this tool.

I use it at work to determine power related issues, either to confirm, or remove doubt that line voltage is the problem area.

This device can capture, drops in voltages, spikes, surges, sags, and etc. It will give you many options to display the data in graphs etc. Right now I don't have the actual data sheet of info captured so can only go off by memory.

So, if I have to make a correction on the numbers, I apologize up front.

*Some back ground*

Most of the devices we are analyzing are either computer based, or actual computer servers. Some don't take kindly with small drops of voltages, some don't like dirty power either.

So here is one of the Q's I have for you all: If the device measures that there is a sag in voltage's anywhere from 86-104 volts on a 120 line from anywhere from 1-4 cycles, is this enough to cause a problem in said equipment??? :headscrat

I will provide you guys with more detailed captured data once I get it off my work laptop. Just wanted some feed-back as to what would be considered good, bad, marginal, etc.

Please bare in mind when I say 1-4 cycles, its not seconds. It is indeed cycles, so more like fractions of a second is what is being captured by this tool.

Please advise . . .

Depends on the power supply that is being fed. Better supplies will have the filtering capacitors that can handle those sag , overvoltage events but looking at the specifications of the unit I will stick with my scope. Resolution and speed is not fast enough.
