Action Hand Tools

Does anyone have an opinion on Action Tools. I bought some Action tools at a garage sale over the weekend. I bought a 3/8 and a 1/2 drive ratchet, plus a 3/8 breaker bar, universal joint and 3 different length extensions for $15.00. They are made in USA and seem to be of good quality. They won't be used everyday, but just as backups. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

They are basic no frills older USA tools. They will get the job don't, just not very pretty or ergonomic. IIRC they were someones budget line. Don't recall whom though. Along the lines of fleet.

According to AA, Action was an economy brand by Thorsen beginning in 1957.

The ratchets I bought look just like the ones pictured on the link you provided. These 2 ratchets look like they were used very little and were well taken care of. They have no rust and the knurling on the handles show very little wear.

I have some old Action tools laying around the garage. The ratchets are tough as nails, and the sockets are just as good as older craftsman.
