I didn't put this in the Thorsen thread because I'm not sure if it is? I found the top Action wrench today at the restore. Now I know action is part of the Thorsen brand, but what about the top Action wrench. It doesn't have the same look or part numbers as the actual Thorsen one. Was this made by another company, or is there another Action brand of wrenches that I'm unaware of?

Thorsen wrenches come in both the flat and more rounded style. Generally Action wrenches look the same as their Thorsen cousins and have similar part numbers. The 9/16” below is more round than the others.

Ok I get that. Also I have some of the rounded style of these wrenches. I know pictures can be deceiving sometimes, but the top one in question isn’t really round. It’s like the other, but very beefy. Two other things to note are the style by the box end, and the part number. Both of which are not at all like the Thorsen counterpart.

I normally leave Action tools behind, choosing to concentrate on Thorsen. I have never seen an Action catalog so it is going to be difficult to research your odd part number wrench. After Thorsen was relocated to Texas a lot of changes took place.

You might try to contact GJ member OilyRascal who definitely qualifies as a Thorsen expert. If he doesn’t respond to a PM he is sometimes on ToolTalk.
