Yes it is - appears to be accurate, holds up to Father Time/gasoline.... iow WAD, and it's a good, reasonable, cost effective design!!

My oldest one is ~5yo give or take a couple.

I think the cost is a tad high on the link you provided....

I have one, seems accurate and doesn't leak. I have only used it a couple of times, before and after a fuel pump replacement. It read the proper psi for what the new pump was supposed to put out. For the price I like it.

I think this comes in a kit with the extra parts for more money, or a cheaper version that's just the gauge. I have the cheaper one.

The pushbutton bleeder leaks a bunch on me. I've since changed it out with a ball valve. Big improvement.

I don't have this or any fuel pressure gauge though I need to get one. The kit makes sense because it has that tee in it. With that you can make adapters to fit other vehicles. For example newer fords without a schrader valve, you can buy quick connects, some fuel line and fuel injection clamps and make an inline adapter.

I have been thinking of getting one of these, just haven't needed it yet.

The linked kit (Professional Fuel Pressure Tester Kit CP7838) has more adapters and (I'm guessing) a plastic 'shock ring' around the gauge OD that my sets (Fuel Pressure Tester Kit CP7818 ?) don't.

AFAICT the occasional drop/bump doesn't harm the gauge though.

The bleed valve should not leak.
If a back flush of the the bleed line doesn't allow the valve to shut off completely it sounds like warranty time to me....

I have the Actron gauge with the Ford adapter. My only issue with it is they dont supply a case to put it all in, and the Ford adapter goes AWOL all the time.

It reduces the size of the tester hose conn to the test vehicle.
I couldn't get a pic of the Ford fitting other than part of a kit pic....

Are you talking about a Schrader valve reducer? There are two sizes. Newer fords don't have a test port so you have to disconnect the fuel line and insert the adapter inline. The adapter is like a mini fuel line with a test port.

Older 80's to 90's ford vehicles have a schrader type valve on the fuel rail for a test port. My '99 ranger has one.
I had the fuel pump go out on it a couple months ago and it would be nice to have a gauge for the next time.

Is this the HF kit you have, http://www.harborfreight.com/master-fuel-injection-pressure-test-kit-97706.html? If so how are the adapters in that? I've been thinking about getting that set just for the adapters but wasn't sure if they were cheap junk that would leak or not? I have a Mac pressure gauge but only have the two schrader valves so need some adapters to do different vehicles.

It never leaked through the valve. Just through the stem. Push the button, and you get gas on your fingers. At least, that was my problem.

Anyway, I replaced the valve with a ball valve, because it makes it easier to use this tool to siphon your gas tank through the fuel pump, so I'm quite happy with the minor modification.

You can't on all cars. It is how we normally check it anymore, but you still need a test gauge for injector balance test etc...

Its also nice to have the redundancy of checking with a mechanical gauge.

Funny this thread popped up.....

I just bought this Actron gauge from Sears Friday evening. I didn't want to wait for anything for the tool dealer at work or mail order when the need arose to have it this weekend, so I figured whatever I find at sears should be decent enough.

My only complaint was that the plastic bleed off hose broke in the middle of the roll just taking it out of the package...a little disappointing, but didn't stop me from using the gauge.
