Hope I am not violating any rules but here goes.

My CP9185 scanning diagnostic tool has a broken display, I know it's the display. My fault left it in extreme cold.

Tried asking for a cost to repair and they WILL NOT give the part cost. All they will give you is the labor rate plus shipping charges. I pay to send it in for MIN 81$ if it's and pay that per hour but NO estimate for part cost, refuse to give me an idea of total cost.

The so-called CS agent basically told me go to Ebay and buy a whole new unit. This was near top of the line consumer tool and they say throw it away or send it in to get a part cost plus labor and $50 bucks plus shipping to send it back unfixed!

I told him I am buying from a competitor. EFF him and that company, never again.

Way to stand behind a product. Effin bozos.. What's even worse this is now owned my Bosch so this "service" might coming to power tools too.

I have an Actron 9580A and have not had to deal with the company so far. Good thing looks like. How cold was it and why/how did it break? Did you bang it or did it crack just from being cold? I have left mine in the truck and it went down to about 10° but I didn't turn it on.

Was in my unheated garage over this past winter and we had near 0 F temps. All I wanted was an estimate, not a quote, of the part cost. Is that asking too much?
