Do these come apart, or are they crimped? If they do come apart, how? Need to add a conductor to each, add another leg to a run.

Were those just out in space like that, or were the inside. Covered junction box?

To the best of my knowledge those are 'push-in' type connectors, no crimping. In my own experience with a known push in connector solid wire is best and it takes some effort to ensure that the wire reaches home.

they appear to be in a j-box of a recessed can. if you want to remove them, just hang on to the wires with one hand and twist the connector back and forth while pulling with the other. they will work themselves out. it would be best to replace with new ones. as mentioned above you do have one hole left in each. myself, I would replace with some red wire nuts. those type of connectors are fast and easy but would prefer wire nuts. I have been twisting wire nuts for over 30 years. I am an old dog and not fond of some of the new tricks......

If you only need to add one conductor to each, just use the fourth hole available. You can remove wire from them by pulling the conductor while twisting, but the push-in connectors not meant to be re-used. If you do have to remove them, I'd replace each one with a new connector of your choice.

If you need to add more than one wire to each, simply get a short piece of each color wire, install one end in the existing open hole, and connect the other end to a new one of those connectors, and install your new wires to those new connectors.
