Over the last 3 weeks I've slowly done some small projects in the garage. I had an electrician come and add some outlets (5) at some spots I wanted them. I then ordered some LED 4' lights on cyber monday. Got them up and I'm happy with the light output (6500k). Hard to tell from pics and light coming in from windows but at night it's like the sun. 3 in front and 3 in rear. They also have a switch so I can turn them off if needed. Just hope they last awhile.

I think that is just about right for general lighting. You may want to add some task lighting, as they call it, for specific areas. Old track lights from garage sales with newer bulbs in them can be quite handy. Anything from wall art to a workbench. I use old track lighting for my videos with the equivalent of 150w LED bulbs in them. You can get spots or floods. just like the old days.

To me 6500K is pretty harsh. Add in some lower Kelvin and things change a lot. I use 5000K over the lathe.
