I was wondering if anyone has ever poured a concrete slab after they installed a car-port structure like this?

If so, how did you do this?

pretty simple, form inside the support posts of the garage and both ends, down several inches. Then tape plastic up to protect the interior walls. Pour concrete and level as normal. Finish concrete.

I would anchor the building to keep it from moving anywhere. If it bothers you, the whole carport could likely be picked up and moved, pour made and sit the carport back where it was. Anchor it and so on.

As you can see, to do it right just so the CP can be anchored to the concrete the CP needs to sit ON top of the concrete, not having it poured up against the bottom tubing.

So, if I had a existing metal CP already sitting in place, I would move it to the side or raise it up and put it on temporary supports. Just so I could pour my slab under it, and about two inches to the outside of it, all the way around it. JMO though

It would be pretty easy to incorporate some anchors into the slab without having to move the building

With a little ingenuity they can be picked up and moved whole. We (Me, my son and daughter) used a car trailer and 3 12 ft. 4X6s. Four good sized men would make the move easy. There are a few carport moves on You Tube.
