I want to add a Subpanel to my attached garage, but I'm having trouble knowing what to do to make sure I pick the correct one.

I'm planning on having the following:
-Dedicated fridge outlet
-Left side receptacles x 8
-Right side receptacles x 8
-Front of Garage lighting x 12 pot lights
-Back of Garage Lighting x 8 pot lights + 4 plugs
-240v circle for electric heater (in addition to gas heater & future welder, and won't use at same time)

Do I need dedicated circuits for the following:
-Gas Heater (for blower)
-Garage door opener

My main panel is a Siemens 100amp panel, what do you think would be appropriate size for the subpanel? How much space (breaker space) do I need in my main panel to add breaker for the subpanel?

Its a good idea to get a panel thats the same brand as the other panel.

You would do fine with 100a panel fed by 90a feeder.

U can use #2 al SER with a 90a breaker in the main panel.

Your subpanel doesnt need a main breaker but its a good idea to have one in case u want to shut the whole panel off without having to walk over to the main service panel.

U will need 2 spaces in your main panel for the feeder breaker.

In the subpanel make sure to isolate the neutral bar which may require the purchase of a ground bar kit.

All the 120v outlets in the garage need to be GFCI protected.

No the GDO and gas heater dont need dedicated circuits...
