Adding Condenser to air compressor 101?

After purchasing and using my new to me my air compressor, the excess water concerned me. I have an older campbell hausfeld 2hp 20 gallon unit.

Now bear with me, I have no fabrication skills or fabrication know how, but I am willing and able to learn.

I would like to use an automotive A.C. condenser as a base and I would like to be able to somehow attach it directly to the compressor. What kind of supplies and tools should I look for? Again I have no clue where to start.

Just make sure that the condenser can handle the pressure. Some condensers are low pressure freon. Not sure what R134 condenses at maximum pressure. Also most automotive ac lines are tiny ID.

Just to give you an idea of what compressor I have, here is a pick.
It's in rough shape but solid, paid $40 for it.

I'm pretty sure newer R134 condensers are high pressure systems. I also thought parallel flow condenser had overall better flow than the older r12 systems or am I wrong?

An oil cooler should work since the tubing is a lot larger on those.

Regardless of that, the most challenging part for me will be the fabrication.

Which direction do you recommend I go in? I live near a pick n pull junkyard so getting a hold of any sort of cooler/condenser is easy.

Welcome Diesel Mercedes. I have had a few Diesel Mercedes. This is a very small compressor. If you are worried about condensate using this, I would suggest you have bigger problems than an after cooler! You need a bigger compressor! Or try cordless!

Funny thing is the guys on the other forum I forum I frequent wanted me to get the a much smaller compressor, a porter cable pancake to be exact. :wtf:

I reluctantly purchased it to try it out, WAY to loud, and the capacity just wasn't there, returned it the next day. Then I purchased this for a measly $40 and was a happy with it, just admired the build quality and how quite it was. It's not top notch, but to me this thing is heavy duty coming from a pancake compressor.

Now onto upgrading in size, my biggest limiter is i don't have a truck and i only have single phase power . I can only carry what my car allows. I would go bigger.

Ideally these would fit the bill.
