Adding friction ball scallop to sockets?

I have a set of SK wobbly sockets which do not have scallops inside the square drive end for the friction ball in extensions to clip into, as a result they are always falling off.
Has anyone tried taking a dremel to the socket and adding their own friction ball scallops?
Thoughts?

Use a carbide ball burr in the dremel. I've done a dozen or more that way.

On what grounds would they replace them as they are not actually damaged?
I reside in the UK so probably unable to warranty them anyway

If I correctly understand your description, that omission is a factory error.

Is there a UK dealer that you can contact? That would be best because they're local.

I don't know about international sales and warranties. If you don't have a local dealer then maybe try this. --> take a video showing all sides of the square end drive as proof, upload it to youtube, and link the video in your email to SK. Tell them you're in the UK so return shipping is not practical and ask them to send a replacement based on the video as proof.

Calm down, you obviously don't deal with old tools at all. Fairly common for older US made sockets to have no detents.

I haven't made new detents but have Dremeled a few existing detents that didn't line up to the ball on my ratchets properly.

Used this ball-shaped diamond burr bit. Bought the set from Ebay delivered from China for about $4.

Edit.. definitely not pretty but functional.
