Adding garage thread to signature

Quick question:

I tried earlier to add my garage remodel thread to my signature line by copying the address and pasting it in the "insert link" box when prompted after choosing that option. It seemed to work but when I click on it in a new post I made it just says its not a valid web page yadda yadda...


This evening I tried to remove it and paste in the address to my thread (I copied the address while I was signed out this time) but every time I try to preview the signature it just says "invalid file" and won't even let me delete my signature at all.

I must be missing something here. I searched the forum but only found a few results that didn't help...

I found your test thread and clicking the link there it takes me to your farmer thread, so the link works. If you want the link to be like mine where the URL doesn't show, type in your thread title, highlight it with the cursor, then click the add link icon and paste in the link to your thread.

I now see that there may be some issues going on with the signature updates. I tried to correct mine and re-bold some wording but it's flagging it for some reason, possibly the server upgrades that Ryan has worked on.

Ryan has a thread about the server issues in General Discussion. I brought it up to him.

It seems that the signature updating isn't quite working. This a result of what's going on ? Getting a 505 error code.

This looks like a real bug. I'm on it...

Thanks for the suggestion Larry. I know it's been something that I have been meaning to do for a while. Just something that I kept putting off. Seeing this thread was the reminder I needed.

Fortunately, your suggestion alerted the forum staff that there was an issue which has been fixed.

I messed around with it again Sunday morning and got it to work this time. I did get some "invalid files" notices but by sneaking in a extremely small graphic of a blank page in the upload signature image box it allowed it to go through... funky!
