Adding Grease points to Puller

I have a older Wyeth-Scott More Power Puller. I saw one the YouTube that when they rebuild these they add a grease point. The video did not go into much detail. Could someone please explain how I would go about adding grease points? Zerk in the spool?

Well, one common thread size is 1/8"-27 NPT, so drill and tap for the size of threads on the grease zerk you plan to use.

Another alternative would be to get a needle grease injector / needle fitting to get grease down in a hard to reach area.

Here is the replay from Wyeth-Scott. I might be more confused :dunno

YES, you can grease your puller. The instructions from our shop personnel
are:

Drill a 9/64" hole in the middle of R17 (reel).
Inject grease -- here is an example of a grease that you might use -- Lucas
Red "N" Tacky Grease. Also Push n Lube

In looking a little more, it appears that a "push & lube" is more like a greaser for a chainsaw. Are there flat "zerks" or do I just leave a hole?

From Wyeth-scott FAQ:
Where do I grease/oil the puller?
9/64" grease holes are drilled in important places of the puller for your convenience.

P16 = Where yoke attaches to the frame. Holes drilled on both arms of yoke.
P8 = Tubular Rivet is greased from a hole drilled in the center of the R17 Reel hub.
P9 = Rivets that attach the pawls should be greased from the underside.
P15 = Clevis Pin found in the center of the sheave of the tackle block hook.
SLT = All safety latch springs and screws. (puller option)
Older Pullers > If it does not have grease holes drilled, you will need to grease around these same areas.

We recommend the use of a grease gun with small tip. If a grease gun is not available, the use of lithium grease in an aerosol can with a straw may be substituted.

Ayuh,..... I've got a couple of those,....

I just spray the whole dam thing with pen-oil, rather than drillin' holes in it, weakenin' the castin's,....
