So, which comes first?
I could scuff up my floor again and basically remove the urethane that did not adhere well. The epoxy, and clear epoxy is fine. Just the top layer of urethane scratches very easily as it's like a film that never bonded. Re-apply the urethane and wait a month and then install lift.
Chances are, no matter what the floor is people moving around 500lb pieces of steel and equipment are going to scratch up the floor. They will not be careful. So the floor will get mangled a little.
Option 2- Install lift now. Once in, sand and reapply urethane. I mean it's 4 posts. How hard can it possibly be to work around. This would give me a nice fresh floor (and perhaps I could delay the re-application of the urethane another year even). The spot under the posts will be slightly different should I ever remove or move the lift.
So, what would you do?
