Adding oil to HF jack

I bought a 3 ton low profile jack from HF a couple weeks ago (my first floor jack). I was changing oil today and showing my 10 yr old son what to do. After we were done he was messing around with the jack (I wasn't paying attention to what he was doing) and he turned the handle counterclockwise so far that oil started leaking. I turned it back clockwise and the oil stopped leaking. I tried the jack on my vehicle and it lifted fine and held the car up. I'm guessing i lost around an ounce or two of oil. The manual was a little vague but what oil should I use to top off the jack? I see there is hydraulic floor jack oil at autozone but I'm not sure what oil is in my floor jack currently. Can I add this autozone oil to my jack if it is different from what is in my jack now? Sorry for the long story for a couple simple questions.

the hydraulic oil should work. I doubt they use anything exotic.
But should be a warning to you use non HF jackstands with HF jacks.
This way you reduce the possible failure rate of the HF product.

Agreed. Any hydraulic jack oil is fine.
Personally, I like some American made jack stands like the above said but that's your call.
